Our Supply Chain department si currently looking for a dynamic and operations‑driven
Logistics Manager
to serve as the key link between the Head of Supply Chain and all logistics processes.
The Logistics Manager is responsible for guaranteeing material availability from warehouse reception, through production order preparation, all the way to the delivery of finished goods to the customer. He/she develops an end‑to‑end vision of logistics processes and flows by positioning Logistics at the heart of operations.
He/she pilots the flows for our company from the Sales order creation / project initiation to the delivery to the customer or the realization/ closure of the milestone, in respect of the delays, quantity, safety and quality rules. He/she pilots, anticipates, and coordinates the flows between the plant, the warehouses, and the delivery to the customer to ensure the delays negotiated by the business in the sales order / contract and with respect to quantities, quality, delays and EHS standards
Key Responsibilities
Team management and organization
Assess staffing availability by analyzing and anticipating potential resource challenges
Pilot the management and the organization of the Logistics activities
Manage the training plan of the collaborators
Be able to motivate and inspire the team
Organize the load with the respect to the priorities
Be the backup of the Warehouse Manager and the Outbound Specialist if necessary
Establish / be part of the recurrent meetings (tiers, 1/1, etc.) allowing reaching the objectives as a team / department as well as on an individual way
Deploy the culture of the company and ensure its understanding and application (empowerment, solidarity, team spirit, human values, etc.)
Be able to share reporting to his hierarchy on a regular basis
Collaborate in a concrete way to the integration of the department’s activities in the new ERP
Logistics activities
Manage the flows in terms of inbounds and outbounds to be part of the end-to-end vision and guarantee the customer satisfaction
Optimize tank farms flows and processes
Redesign processes and challenge current RACI
Optimize materials flows in the warehouses (internal and external)
In partnership with the Head of Supply chain and the Warehouse Supervisor, propose and determinate the strategy for the different warehouses for short term as well as for med and long terms perspective
Propose tools helping / supporting growing (industrial) activities
Develop capacity tools to support Warehouse Supervisor in his daily operational activities
Define CAPEX plans and propose investments to reach the objectives of the department and answer the growth of the company
Manage the transport (internally and externally) with respect to the budget defined for those activities, in due time and with respect to safety and quality standards
Propose (ABC) classification in order to manage and optimize the capabilities and associated materials flows and handling
Take part to the definition of objectives in terms of effective inventory management (identification, segregation, location, etc.)
Support the Supply Chain to improve the inventory turnover as well as the internal flows (reception, pickings, storage, inventories, shipping)
Optimize inbound processes
Revisit lead-times and ensure the reliability in the ERP
Take part to the adaptations of the industrial organization with respect to the customer’s needs
Drive continuous improvements
Ensure the technological watch and deploy required actions to make the department more robust
Propose improvements at the human level as well as technical and organizational level
Ensure the respect of EHS’s standards, by analyzing risky situations, by improving workstation ergonomics programs and by proposing ideas in the mindset of continuous improvement
Apply the Lean approach, as part of the continuous improvement
Partnership with all the departments
Coordinate the interactions with the other platforms
Promote the Supply Chain and their principles to the other platforms
Make recommendations / advice
Profile & Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a GMP environment.
Strong understanding of Supply Chain flows and pharmaceutical industry requirements.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience is an asset).
Fluent in French with a good level in English.
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical world
Strong knowledge of Supply Chain, its flows, the safety standards, and rules EHS (dangerous goods regulation, ergonomics, …)
Familiarity with Lean Management (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, ..).
Solid understanding of EHS and quality standards.
Experience and master an ERP (SAP is a plus)
Perfect knowledge in terms of industrial informatics to be able to propose any improvements for the ERP as well as for other tools / systems
